HISTORY INTRODUCTION
This History was written by (Major) Ted L. Haworth (Executive Officer)(deceased) and edited and typed by his daughter.
The history is based on monthly reports of the Battalion's activities to the War Department prepared by Major Haworth and Mason Carter (Hdq & Hdq Co).
These reports included: missing members, those Killed In Action, other casualties, number of POWs, number of lost vehicles, captured vehicles and guns, map locations, miles traveled, and other matters.
The reports were typed by Mason Carter under all kinds of combat conditions-including weather, battles, shellings, and troop movements.
